The Undying Light
Game Summary
In a world shrouded in darkness, the player discovers the lost source of sunlight and sets out on a quest to restore it to the heavens. This light becomes your guide through the darkened fortress, illuminating your path and unlocking the way forward. However, its glow also attracts deadly creatures lurking in the shadows, making the light both your greatest tool for survival and your greatest danger. The player must carefully balance using the light to solve puzzles and navigate treacherous areas while avoiding the attention of the night’s monstrous inhabitants.
Best played in full screen!
Update 2:
We’re aware of a bug in the web version of the game that affects scaling. Monsters appear to aggro from a greater distance than intended, making the game more challenging, but still manageable. However, one particular spot on the 3rd level—during the crystal puzzle—makes the game significantly harder. In this area, a monster from a different room may aggro and even clip through walls to reach you.
To mitigate this, hide the crystal before entering the room and quickly place it on the altar as soon as you arrive. You will have limited time to make your selections. A hint for the puzzle can be found at the bottom of this post.
Additionally, there’s a known issue with the prompt for placing the crystal near the end of the game. If the prompt is not visible, try placing the crystal on the pedestal using the E key. Then, attempt to pick it up again to trigger the action.
Alternatively, you can download a windows version from my profile if the web version isn't working for you.

The poem reveals the crystal order and the puzzle combination. The dragon serves no other purpose beyond providing the poem and acting as decoration.

Holy cow what a fantastic little game :) This is excellent work! ^^
Seems there's a bug with some pedestals that almost broke my save. I found a workaround by dropping the crystal right next to the pedestal. The interaction worked as soon as I did that.
